My thanks first of all to the Society for inviting me to judge and to the exhibitors for bringing their dogs for me to go over on a cold and murky morning.
J (3). 1 Friend & Redmond’s Shagiead Lady Sea with Greybrows. 7months old bitch and a lovely winner in this class of three delightful puppies. Lovely dark, crisp coat. Strong neck leading into good, well laid, shoulders. Nice length of upper arm with strong flat bone down the foreleg. Good spring of rib and nice depth of chest. Very good strong loin for her age, excellent quarters, well muscled with well let-down hocks. A little tentative on the move to begin with but once she got into her stride, had a good drive from the rear. Will look forward to seeing her grow. BP. 2 Faircloth’s Beardswood Ripley for Calbraidh, 3 Tresh’s Lyndorthwin Ethel Grey
PG (1) Faircloth’s Beardswood Poesy at Calbraidh. Very sweet 3-year-old bitch. Light boned but well balanced in profile. Lovely expression. Good depth of chest and adequate spring of rib but a little upright in front. Good bed of stifle, well muscled and moved well in profile but a little close going away. Well handled by her owner and clearly enjoyed herself hugely in the ring. Just lost out to 2nd in Open for RBoB on overall substance and drive from the rear.
O (7, 4) 1 Spence’s Hyndsight Ripley into Shagiead. Beautifully balanced 3-year-old bitch with a lovely dark eye and faraway expression. Neat ears, strong neck leading into good shoulders. Good forechest and depth of brisket and lovely neat feet. Good spring of rib, nice topline, held well on the move. Excellent strong quarters, well muscled made for good drive from the rear and true when coming and going. Lovely dark, crisp coat presented in excellent condition all round. A very pleasing bitch. BoB. 2 Tresh’s Trentdale Glamis of Lyndorthwin RBoB. 3 Lucas & Dargonne’s Glenmorlich None so Pretty for Packway
